Anyone who ever worked in Lion City will reasonably assume this is a Singapore franchise with a twist. Many eateries in Lion City are Ministry of This and Ministry of That. Anyway one day in Glen Waverly we walked past this new eatery.
The options are all on an A3 paper but the usual steak dishes are there. We had starter, main and an appetizer each. Surprisingly the food presentation is very French style -big dishes with small servings. That instantly upgraded the expectation from 2 star to 3.5 star and it fulfilled my expectations. I almost want to tip the bowl and lick the remaining scallop broth. If memory serves right, this little thing cost around $20.00 ++.
As usual uncle and Cousin Bro had steak where possible and according to them cooked to perfection. Well the presentation certainly give every impression it will taste good.
Cousin Sister had the lamb - again the presentation is flawless and the taste superb.
I, predictably had pork in the form of BBQ Pork Ribs. I ordered half rack. Should have gone for the full one.
Food size is not meant for sharing among eating companions or you will end up with just one bite of what you ordered. The desert had quite fancy names which we had not idea what it is. Just the ingredient. When in doubt ask your friendly waiter, which we did. Still no idea - just recommendation of what is nice.
When the desert came over, they looked deconstructed. Yes I learn that word from Masterchef. It means if you didn't manage to finish your dish in time, just plate whatever you have onto the plate in an artful and appealing way - then you call it deconstructed xxx like deconstructed fried kangkung belacan or deconstructed sweet and sour pork.
Warning though - if you are thinking of using this to explain to your household why your dish looks all over the place, I just made all the previous phrases up. Use at own risk.
All in all, I would definitely come back here again...Anyone birthday coming up soon?
Er also, you probably shouldn't read this at night cause it might cause hunger pangs...but it's probably too late now, so drink some milo ok...
